fairplay at radio FM4 - "How contemporary are major sporting events?"

Discussion show "FM4 Auf Laut" on human rights and sustainability issues at the Olympics and the Football World Cup.

At major events such as the Olympics, it's long been more than just the sporting result that counts. Above all, the box office has to be right, and the events are also caught in the crossfire when it comes to social issues - whether it's Corona and its consequences, as at the Australian Open, or human rights issues at the Olympic Games in Beijing and the World Cup in Qatar. Most major events also place an enormous burden on the environment, and sustainability usually remains nothing more than an empty promise.

How contemporary are such major sporting events? Will you be watching Beijing and Qatar, or will the TV stay off this time?

In the discussion show FM4 Auf Laut on February 15, 2022, our head of department Kurt Wachter, Nicole Selmer from ballesterer and snowboarder Sabine Schöffmann discussed major sporting events. Rainer Springenschmied hosted the program.
