FAC strengthens cooperation with fairplay

We are intensifying our existing cooperation with the Floridsdorfer Athletiksport-Club and will also be offering internal club training in the future.

The Floridsdorfer Athletiksport-Club and the fairplay initiative are intensifying their existing cooperation and will in the future stand up for integration and diversity in soccer.

For many years, the Floridsdorfer Athletiksport-Club has been an integral part of the fairplay initiative's annual action weeks and thus regularly sets an example for diversity and against discrimination in soccer. From now on, this cooperation with the fairplay initiative will be lived even more intensively at the Floridsdorf second division club.

FAC Managing Director Jakob Schleger: "Football in particular can play a leading role in the areas of integration, tolerance and solidarity and has since become a prime example of how people of different origins can work together. Diversity and openness have been a top priority at FAC for many years and are reflected at all levels, from young talent to the club's management. That's why it's important to us to continue to set a clear example against racism, discrimination, and for diversity at FAC."

Already at the beginning of the year, the Floridsdorf second division club organized a first sensitization workshop with the fairplay initiative for the employees of the office as well as the club management. Further workshops and training sessions, especially in the youth area, will follow in the future in order to communicate the values of tolerance and diversity across the board.

Markus Pinter, project coordinator of the fairplay initiative: "We are pleased to be able to take the next step in our existing cooperation with FAC. FAC already sets many visible signs on and off the FAC pitch and is an important and strong cooperation partner in sports for us north of the Danube. Our partnership, which is set to become even more intensive in the future, now also marks the start of internal club measures and training courses."

Christian Kirchengast, FAC project management: "As a member of the Austrian Football League, we have been going our own way with the fairplay initiative for many years. With an even more intensive cooperation, we want to send a clear signal that we at FAC also implement and live the values - which are anchored in our mission statement - in practice. We are pleased that we will be working even more intensively with the fairplay initiative in the future."
