Football Zajedno: new coaches at seminar in Podgorica
The seminar took place from April 25 to 27 in Podgorica. The aim of the training was to equip participants with methods to use soccer for social change, with a strong focus on social inclusion, gender equality, and human rights.
The target group was primarily sports teachers and educators who will use our fairplay methods in their local communities. The training combined interactive workshops and practical exercises based on the fairplay handbook and offered both theoretical foundations and practical experience.

On the last day, participants immediately put their new skills into practice at the “Football for Unity” event, organized in collaboration with the UNHCR and the Football Association of Montenegro. The event brought together around 60 children from local football clubs, the Roma community, and Ukrainian refugees for a day of inclusive sports and getting to know each other. Each coach led one of the activity stations and put our values into practice.

The feedback on the training was overwhelmingly positive, with participants describing the experience as encouraging, useful, and highly relevant to their daily work. The training was organized as part of the Football Zajedno project, which was led by the fairplay Initiative (VIDC, Austria) and the Igrajmo Zajedno Initiative (BiH) and funded by the Football Association of Montenegro (FSCG) as part of the UEFA Hattrick Program.
The Football Zajedno project will continue over the next few years, with newly trained multipliers offering fair play workshops and promoting equality through sport in the region.
