feminist fighters week, 1.-10.3.24

Together with the Feminist Fighters Union, we are launching a new campaign in combat sports around Feminist Fighting Day on March 8.

The feminist fighters week is taking place for the first time this year. From March 1-10, in the week surrounding the feminist fighters' day on March 8, we are launching a new campaign as part of our work area fairplay prevention - contact point against misanthropic ideologies Together with the Feminist Fighters Union, we are inviting martial arts clubs, gyms, associations and initiatives to join us in campaigning for gender diversity in martial arts.

The martial arts scene in Austria is enjoying increased attention and growth. However, it is still very much male-dominated. Despite increased training opportunities for women, there are many people who have not yet found a place in martial arts.

FLINTA* (which includes women, lesbians, intersexuals, non-binary, trans and agender people) people want to train in martial arts, but are a target group that often cannot feel comfortable in the existing structures.

We want to counteract this. From March 1 to March 10, in the week around March 8, we invite you to take part in the feminist fighters week. Get active and let's set an example together for more gender diversity in martial arts!

However, if you send us photo and video impressions of the training, we will make them visible with a joint collab post (association, the Feminist Fighters Union and fairplay).

In Germany, chinkilla is running a campaign to mark 8 March. Clubs that want to offer free training for girls and women.
