The Monitoring Report 2025 was presented at the conference “Taking a stand in sport. Together against extremism.”
The monitoring report focuses on highlighting toxic masculinity cultures, right-wing extremism, and their networks in Austrian martial arts. The report is intended as an exemplary work, does not claim to be exhaustive, and is intended to contribute to political education in sport.

Needs Analysis
A thorough needs assessment provides the basis for effective preventive measures. For this purpose, we have compiled an overview of the Austrian prevention-measures landscape and of the diverse involvement in the field of sports. A preliminary study by the Research Group on Ideologies and Politics of Inequality (FIPU) serves as a scientific foundation of our work.
