In Mexico, women’s football has long been more than just a sporting activity; it is a powerful symbol of resistance, identity, and social change. Thousands of women, many of them Indigenous, are rewriting their own history through football. Football represents hope in an environment that has been marked by violence stemming from the drug trade for years.
The exhibition showcases women who are breaking stereotypes, overcoming inequalities, and turning every match into an act of resistance. On every field, whether made of dirt or in a stadium, these guerreras (female warriors) demonstrate that football is far more than just a game: it is a collective voice that demands to be heard.
