Football Cine Cup '26
The football-free period in Austria is coming to an end. To bridge the gap, we would like to recommend the Football Cine Cup at the Breitenseer Lichtspiele cinema again this year. Almost all films are accompanied by a supporting program in the form of discussion panels, film talks, or live soundtracks.
The second edition kicks off on January 16 with Hüseyin Tabak's film “Kick Off,” which portrays the Austrian national homeless team on their way to the 2008 Homeless World Cup in Australia. In the film discussion that follows, our colleague Michael Schmied talks to the filmmaker and one of the protagonists about their experiences in Australia and how the Homeless World Cup has shaped their lives.
