Hand-in-Hand Cup - the idea!

Many people are interested in Austria's top sport, soccer. Many people are doing well, but not everyone. This gave rise to the idea of using the great interest in soccer to raise awareness for those who need help. The Hand-in-Hand Cup combines these two aspects in the form of a soccer tournament that turns interested supporters into helpers.

The Hand-in-Hand Cup is held as a one-day event at the SK Amateure Steyr sports ground. Visitors can experience all the matches live with free admission and, after the final match, can enjoy a cozy finale with music, food and cool drinks and find out about the charitable purpose of the event...and of course make donations.

Programme

9:00-12:00: Junior tournament U13 (age group 2011, 5+1) and U10 (age group 2014, 4+1)
13:00-16:00: Junior tournament U8 (YG 2016, 4+1) and U11 (YG 2013, 5+1)
13:00-16:30 HIGHLIGHT soccer tournament with special needs teams from the BUNDESLIGA clubs!
17:00-19:00: Football tournament for amateur teams

The donation targets are selected anew every year!

The net proceeds in 2024 will be used to support the STOP HSP association. HSP is one of the rare diseases and is not curable, and in most cases ends in a wheelchair. There are around 200-400 cases in Austria! Research is already being carried out, but it costs a lot of money. We hope that this event will be a success. So that research does not remain in its infancy. We want to give rare diseases a face with this charity event.

HSP also stands for H= Helfen (help) S= Spenden (donate) P= Partei ergreifen (take sides)! We ask for your support and many visitors!

Rebels of Change is part of it!

The Hand-in-Hand Cup fits in perfectly with our sustainability project Rebels of Change, with which we are committed to a good life and access to sport for all. The guiding principle of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is "leave no one behind". These United Nations goals are inclusive and apply to all people worldwide. The 17 SDGs consist of 169 sub-goals and apply until 2030.
The aim is to end poverty (SDG 1) and hunger (SDG 2) worldwide by then. Other goals include education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8) and climate action (SDG 13). Persons with disabilities are explicitly addressed in eight of the 17 goals as "persons with disabilities", "vulnerable groups" and "vulnerable minorities".
